Students are encouraged to stop by the Thaxter Library to check out our Banned Books Week display and borrow a book this week that celebrates their freedom to choose what books they read. Director of Maine Students Vote at the League of Women Voters of Maine (LWVME) Allyson Gardner gave a special presentation yesterday during Upper School assembly. A nonpartisan political organization, LWVME has worked for over 100 years to increase civic engagement in communities across the United States. Allyson focuses on encouraging young people to "become democratic leaders and life-long civic champions in their communities."

Congratulations to Cathie Connors for being chosen as the 2023–24 NFHS State Girls Lacrosse Coach of the Year 🎉 🥍
